The Kids Get Wet
I know. I'm thinking the same thing: future Miss America.
day but he did want to wear them in the tub that night, upside-down.

We celebrated Daniel's 2nd birthday on Sunday at my mom and dad's. I don't know who had more fun, Daniel or everyone who was there. We were so glad that Herb, Diane, Valerie, and Ashley (our neighbors who we think of more as family) came. Thank you for the chairs and the table Herb! Gradma, Grandpa, Gram, Poppy, Aunt Amy, Auntie Em., Aunt Diana, and Great Grandma R. were all there.
We missed everyone who wasn't there. You know who you are: Jim, Frances, Jeanie, Joe, Ron, Michelle, Jessica, Nicholas, and Jennifer, Robert, Stacey, Olivia, and Mallory, Ron, Matthew, Great Grandma S., and all of Daniel and Sarah's other "aunts and uncles." We kept it small and simple this year though because everyone is so busy right now. Hopefully, next year Jenny, Bill, Julie, and Hannah will join in the festivities. (Why do I feel like I'm making a speech for the Oscars?) Boy, Daniel and Sarah have a lot of people who love them.
Olivia and Mallory called Daniel and sang him Happy Birthday. He loved that! Thanks for having the party at your house mom and dad! (Only a few of you will get what I'm about to say, but I am not like Todd Gack. I do use exclamation marks and I use them liberally.) Betty has much better pictures than we do. Chris and I were too busy filming. Hopefully we can get those on the computer and I'll put them on. Here are our pictures for you to enjoy for now.

Daniel wiped bubble juice on his nice button-down shirt, so he was temporarily shirtless. Chris and Ashley and I blew up some balloons. Really, if we just had balloons and bubbles, Daniel would have been satisfied. Oh, to be two. He liked his presents though. Every time I'd open one, he'd say, "Wow!"
Daniel rearranged the balloon candles on the cake. Of course, he named everything that was on the cake. You can't see it, but there was #2 candle. He kept saying, "The number two!" and he refused to blow it out. He loves to pretend to blow out candles. This was his big chance and he blew it, or rather, he didn't.
As Daniel would say, "Good cake." Thanks for the cake Auntie Em!!!

Ashely, Daniel, and Sarah. Ashley was so good with them.
Here's Sarah in her pretty little party dress. She loved that Elmo balloon!

Sarah is starting to crawl!
Sarah was really starting to make progress in crawling the other night when Carrie was babysitting the kids. Once Daniel was willing to give up the spotlight on the camera, Sarah was ready for action!
Check her out:
Carrie also got a video of Daniel trying to play a game with Sarah. If only she would pay attention to him!

Sarah's Baptism
Today, Sarah Elizabeth was baptized into the Body of Christ at St. Paul Parish. Here are a few pictures from the event. Fr. Larry Dorsch was the officiant and Chuck and Lori Ballato are Sarah's Godparents.

After the Baptism, we then had Sarah consecrated to the Blessed Mother by Fr. Tony Thurston.

Big brother, Daniel, entertained the guests by showing off his keyboard and drum skills at church.
Following this, family and friends gathered to celebrate at a reception together.

The Godmothers:
We were blessed with a beautiful summer day as we celebrated a sacred part of our lives together.
